i agree that the Corsaro and the 9 1/2 did look top heavy - though I have not seen either in the flesh as yet. I saw the 1200 adventure touring version on holiday last year and that looked like a good alternative tot he usual BMW GS.

It's good to see the old marques making a welcome appearance once more :)

Heh, the Gran Passo is even higher and heavier. My mate managed to drop his at 0 mph outside our digs on the Isle of Man last year and break his collar bone. :(

Lambertini did actually design a prototype V twin for Piaggio. Theoretically it could have neded up in a Gilera. Then they bought Guzzi and Aprilia and the rest, as they say, is history.

I've noticed most of the plastics on my nw have been repaired in some way, either someone has been a rough arse with it or they are particularly brittle.
Whats the best wat to strengthen the week points, I'm thinking araldite or stuff called plexus, both of which I have access to.

I did not know what thsi is :(
I *always* use some glass fibre for strengthen the parts and some 2 component glue like UHU Plus acrylit.
Other brands will also work i think.

Hi Sharpo,
The body work is brittle you will get cracks to repair, I have used Araldite re-enforced with cloth, which would have similar results to Joachim's fiber glass repair.
I went the Araldite route simply because I had used it before on a restoration project and glass mat/polyester resin is not readily available here.
Whichever way you go scuff up the inner surface with rough sandpaper ir a wire brush to make the adhehsive key in ;)

Proper preparing of the surface is a must.
And degreasing!

Just asked aunt Google about Araldite.
It is a brand. So we should know more details about the kind of Araldite bond you have used.
I just have another look.
The have epoxy (not that expensive, but also not *very* ggod)
Better ist the MMA (Methylmethacrylat)or PUR (Polyurethane) stuff.
But both rather expensive.
On the other hand the best you can get for the ABS parts of the Nordie.
And should not only the best be good enough for our beloved Nordies?
