There was a dealer just a mile or so from where I stay, in the late 80's early 90's, called C & W Wilsons, Uphall who were Gilera Dealers, I remember they had a Saturno and a Nord West in the shop, the Nord West sold quite quickly, but the Saturno was there for quite a while, I think they wanted £5995 for it,maybe £4995? you never know, could be the same bike. Can't decide whether it's overpriced or about right, it's a nice one.

It would certainly seem to have held it's value that's true. Looks like it's been looked after though, at least cosmetically.

From the photos it looks mint - maybe worth taking a squint at it if it's not too far from you - I suppose its rarity compared to a Nordie would make it more expensive and Italian 'exotica' does carry a premium. There was a guy on eBay recently trying to sell a very tatty CX125 with a seriously goosed engine for £1000 and he was up by Glasgow so money is stupid for certain things at the moment - just look at the price of a Katana....

My Jota is a good example of how prices are on the rise, they certainly have rocketed in value. It's all swings and roundabouts though, because whatever you decide to buy to replace the bike you've just sold has also rocketed in value!.
Of course you could just not buy another bike?...nah, can't believe I just said that!!!

Alan.

I bought a Nordie and ended up with 3 Gilera's and a shed load of spares
