Triple tree and forks are due today as is the front wheel.
Looking at the photos however, and it looks like there is a lockstop bracket bolted to the top of the bottom yoke which should make for an easier fit. Also I just fitted the spindle into my spare front Nordie forks and its the same threaded end but the plain end of the spindle is about 0.5mm larger diameter- no real issue hopefully but i'm hoping I can utilise the original front wheels less one disc.(I have two sets one with Maxxis 'wets' and the other with Supermaxx sports-brilliant tyres for the Nordie)
The problems could be the head bearing shaft diameter and length.
More later as I recieve the parts.......

Hi Moggvan,
With my Xr conversion using crf forks I was able to reduce the head shaft diameter to fit the Xr bearings, the shaft was a bit longer but instead of reducing the length put a spacer between the bottom yoke and the bearing with the thinking that there would be less flex the wider the yokes were spaced apart. I then had to make lots of little brackets to fit back all the electrical bits, headlight and instruments onto the top yoke that came off a motoX bike, it all worked out and looks like it belongs, it also has electric start, 440 big bore, Mikuni carb, FMF full exhaust and Vortex programmable ignition, it would have been cheaper to buy a KTM

Yep! one thing snowballs to another eh? I should imagine there'll also be issues with the space between the headlamp and yokes/tubes.

I managed to get all the Xr bits fitted onto the crf forks so it takes a bit of an anorak to see whats been changed B) it should not be a problem with a Nordie :)

Well it looks as though i'll be keeping the standard (heavy) Nordie front wheel as it seems to fit nicely in the WP forks, same size wheel bearings too.
There will be one less disc, however the remaining L/H disc will now have to go up to 315mm DIA to suit the calliper.
The headstock shaft will have to be removed and reduced in diameter to match the standard head bearings (29mm to 25mm)......
Oh, and i'll also have to lenghthen the sidestand by about 2"!!!
I think that's about it for now- until I get a chance to fit the front end to the bike. :side:
