Anyone changed their gearing to get better acceleration. Running standard at the mo, dont mind loosing abit of top speed.

I have fitted a 54T sprocket on my RC, not really for more acceleration, but that allows it to chug through mud or soft sand, at 120Km it shows 6000rpm so still OK on tarmac.

Nope, I'm ok with how it is, plus I like being able to sit at 80/85 without it getting too close to the limit.

I used to run pretty low gearing on the tuned 604 Nordwest hillclimber. That could surprise many a bigger bike away from the lights when I had it on the road. Didn't make for relaxed touring though. Quite a few people actually geared up one on the gearbox sprocket as some used to hit the rev limiter in top downhill.

If I were you I'd get my carbs and breathing sorted out and get the motor running sweetly before looking at the gearing. If the fuelling is set up right the bike can go very light at the front in standard trim when you crack the throttle wide open.

What kind of miles/kms are on your bike?
