I have only a Nordwest pump shaft to measure. Is the Saturno shaft shorter slightly?
If so, on which end
I though I remember reading that Saturno pump body is 1mm shorter?.

The diameter of both, the case and the rotor is smaller.
The shaft?
I can not remember.

Can anyone else confirm shafts are the same for all pumps? If they are different, I'll do a separate run.

the Saturno shaft is about 2mm longer than the Nordie shaft.
Also the part of the pump which is stucked into the cylinder is longer.
That seems to be reasonable.
The bore of the 600ccm cylinder is bigger, the outside shape of both cylinders is the same.
So if you would not like to have a big hole in the side of the cylinder you will have to shorten the water pump.
I would like to measure everything carefully.
But i have to do something else this evening.
So would it be ok to send some kind of pic or a scetch tomorrow?

Are you sure? I will check this...

Pump flange diameter of 600 engine (Nordwest, XRT, RC, RCR) is 51 mm, for a Saturno engine you need 49.1 mm.
The propeller of an 600 engine has a diameter of 50, saturno engine has 48.1 mm.
