Me n ZacPike have had a long discussion on this vid, for me the jury is out and I think potential harm could occur unless you have a feel for timing belts and I have changed 100's. There are reasons for my views and I am going to recheck my RC belt before making a judgement, but it hinges on a few points, timing tensioner spring age, natural belt backlash, tight point on a belt, preload pressure on the waterpump that is also used as a jockey wheel and design knowledge by Gilera.... ;-)

Yeah further to our telecom, I concur. I still think the video and the information is excellent knowledge to retain within our heads. (and on the site) but I agree, needs to be used with mechanical sympathy and some experience.

Otherwise, you are right, tight belts, stressed bearings, all goes bang etc, etc.

Our Bi4's are precious and fragile at times , we need to nurse them in their senior years.
