yea, definitely steel. I think the Gilera's were one of the few makes around that time that didn't use aluminium or alloy for their 125's.

And the silver paint sure looks like aluminium on the Crono

Aye, and if you look sideways at a Nordie it looks like an alloy frame - the factory must have bought in a load of aluminium finish paint. I suppose it was a cheap way to blend in with all the Jap factory frames at a time when GSXRs and FZRs were all wrapped in light alloy.
