It has been a while since I checked in so decided to give an update. All attempts to repair the sprag have to this point failed so I have ordered a new one from our friends at KTM. It is winging it's way from Australia as I type. Sadly the new spring didn't work and shortening the new spring didn't work, nor did sanding the surfaces will wet and dry sand paper. I will win it is just a question of when.
