I thought I would post an update if anyone is interested, I have spoken to Mr Wright and he will have cam belts soon and hopefully I will soon after. I ordered the float valve and float chamber "O"ring from the local Yamaha dealer and expect that in a few days from Australia.
In the interim I found this on our local version of e-bay called TradeMe which I thought you might be interested in

www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=698790468

I hope the link works.

Thanks again everyone for your help and thanks Bob Wright Motorcycles, Craig Bailey Yamaha and BNT Hawera. Very soon I hope to be riding the Gilera siblings.

Hi Kiwi, the link worked for me :cheer:
how does the Nordwest price of $5000 (NZ??) price compare with "real" money and the $5000 (Oz) price of the naked Saturno on ebay in Australia?
Hope you get your bits and leg over very soon.
Just come back from my ride on the RC in the bush B)
Take care
John

Ok, if our math here at work on nightshift is correct $5000.00NZ is about 2500 pound or I believe about 2800 euro and compared to the Australian dollar it would be around $4700.00. How does that compare to your prices remembering these are rare machines here. It looks like this one was an even more rare new in New Zealand compared to the one I have which was privately imported by a couple who were travelling in Europe and brought it home with them.

Hi Kiwi,
Cheaper to buy in UK, but then you have shipping and clearing costs and some countries stop importation of older cars and bikes on the grounds of exhaust emissions not complying with current regulations, I have airfreighted all my bikes into Nigeria via Lagos then had them forwarded by road 1200km to Kano and in all cases the costs of transport clearing and duties was as much or more than the bikes :S but what the heck I work hard for my money, got to have a vice to keep me occupied B)
Even my Honda is a rare machine in Nigeria :P
