That's a really tidy solution. I wonder what the origin of the pump is? Something domestic possibly, like a washing machine?
I wouldn't have thought there was a need for 2 pumps for racing...72degrees hill climber race bike with its big bore probably ran the mechanical pump and it was no doubt getting its neck wrung.
Good luck with the Nordie motor swap, no doubt Kano will be along with advice shortly on that score since he owns JRs original bike.

Ok I've looked at the Pump. Enscribed as follows;

BOSCH PAD 12v 058

Made in Germany

>PA 66-GF 30<

looks like that kind of pump is used in auxiliary car heating systems.
Mercedes Benz Sprinter.
Maybe more of the Webasto car heaters use it.
Price for a new one seems to be about 200$ :(
Maybe your local car wrecker will have a cheaper, used one.

PS the Nordie engine will not fit into the Saturno frame.
You can use the Saturno head with the single carb on the Nordie case and barrel. Using the original Saturno engine case will end in a not fitting Nordie 600ccm cylinder.
You will have to make a bigger hole into the Saturno case.
So if you can get hand on a Nordie engine just use this.
Oh and mixing Nordie engines with Saturno heads needs a head gasket modification (two little holes on the right place).
Otherwise you will kill the engine by overheating.
The second solution is to modify the frame so the two inlet head of the Nordie will fit in. What to do depends on your local laws ;)

Planning to modify the frame. Gives more options later on for different
carbs, if I want to, and means I can have Nordwest engine with original Tekei carbs running well with no other modifictions.
As to local laws, best not to cause undue worry on the authorites....what they don't know won't hurt them!

bad luck :(
You still have the same mechanic?

The water pumps seem to be not for the cooling system of the engine.
I think they are used in the auxiliary heating system.
