CAN'T REALLY THINK WHY IT WAS FITTED WITH 2 PUMPS, EVEN WITH A TUNED MOTOR, 72DEGREES HILL CLIMB BIKE ONLY HAD THE ONE WITH THE BIG BORE KIT, CANT EVEN THINK WHY AN ELECTRIC PUMP SHOULD BE FITTED UNLESS A RACE ENGINE AND TRYING TO RELEASE A LITTLE MORE POWER TO THE WHEEL, THE MECHANICAL PUMP IS NO MORE OR LESS RELABLE THAN THE MECHANICAL PUMP, THEY ALL HAVE SEALS AND BEARINGS TO FAIL EVENTUALLY.tHE ONLY PROBLEM OF THE MECHANICAL PUMP IS ITS AVAILABILITY.

Planning to modify the frame. Gives more options later on for different
carbs, if I want to, and means I can have Nordwest engine with original Tekei carbs running well with no other modifictions.
As to local laws, best not to cause undue worry on the authorites....what they don't know won't hurt them!

Hi Zeroviz
When I get back to a warm place after 9th May I'll send you some pictures of my Saturno's frame modd's to alow twin carb Nordie head to be fitted

Saturnos always had a little problem with the heat.
At leats when they have been raced.
Maybe the cooler is to small. Or it is the smaller water pump (compared with the Nordie one)
Or all those guys have mounted Nordie barrels under Saturno heads and did not modify the head gasket. Like the previous owner of my #due did and which ends up in boiling every warm summer day. Thank god we did not have to much of them.

Beside this i did not think that mounting 2 pumps in a row is a good idea.
You will need more volume for increasing cooling and not more pressure. Last one ist the common reason to switch pumps in a row.
Maybe there is only one pump, the electric one.
Maybe the original mechanic pump is a dummy.
Just to keep the belt at his place. Maybe there is nothing in the original pump housing ;)
Much to much maybes ;)
So if the friendly owner did sometimes change the cooling fluid and /or the timing belt.
Maybe he will be so kind to have a look ;)

I agree with Joachim - two pumps will over pressurise the system and cause problems.

I've a pump off a campervan fresh-water system that looks very similar to your electric one which was the reason I suggested it may be from a domestic machine.

Also with an electric and mechanical pump there will be cavitation in the mechanical pump with the engine at low revs as the the electric pump will be always at a constant flow rate, not a good idea :(

I send one email to the MAHLE for this valve

Seeking an inlet valve with the following features

type of locks is C
head shape is (A)
size of the head is (D) 36mm
the stem is thick (d) 7 mm
Valve length is (L) 91.5 mm

Now I see if they respond to the email.
