I don't remember which gasket I used to be honest Joachim since it is about 2 years ago that I built the engine-but I do know I matched the holes up, and even during hard use on track the motor didn't overheat so I guess all is well.
Bike is not in my possession any more-sold it last December-now playing with a Nordie.

Ok, So rode the bike on the weekend and the temp gauge stayed at 3/4 on the way out but the ambient temp was about 20C. As the day heated up the temp gauge read higher however I didn't notice the fan cutting in so I'm thinking the gauge is a bit dodgy. So will keep you posted with any updates. Oh here's a picture of the bike.
Cheers Murray

Hi GT
I just replaced my water pump with one from Peter Zinssler (PeMoPa) as the old one seized completely, and I broke it attempting to pull it apart :-(.
Prior to that my 500 always ran in the center of the green, and does so with the new pump.
Maybe we will pass each other on the road one day!

I have never managed to pull one apart, the trick is to press the shaft through the pump from the pulley side ;)
